Bout Time!

February 20, 2012

Well, here we are.  You can't see much difference where you are sitting, but from here, it's a big difference.  Every year we (Amy and I) say that we are going to get our website updated...once we actually had one.  And, then we joined a team.  And then, and then.

So here we are.  It's mid-February.  Thanks to Jed Rogers and Roger Glenn, we're rolling.  It's pretty basic.  We tried to eliminate clicks and just keep it simple.  When you get down to it, the reader needs to find what they need.  We didn't add the things that we don't like about websites...which we won't list here in case yours has those features!  We've got our tweets up for you, we tweet at least daily...and we need 1,000 followers each!

Of course, all pro triathletes have sponsors and love to 'plug' them.  Amy and I have talked a lot about sponshorship lately and what we'd like and what we have to offer.  In reality, a lot of pros are the same, and it's really going to take a bit of out of the box thinking for the sponsorship game to turn around.  As we land new sponsors, we'll announce them here.  For now, just stay tuned.  It's already almost March, but we're hoping to get some things finalized and announced here.  As usual, it has been a bit of searching, kissing some frogs in hoping they'll turn into a prince (that would be Amy).  We do have a pretty unique opportunity this year and a sponsorship of sorts that we hope will help change the way athletes and sponsors think...so stay tuned.

We'll be keeping this blog going at least weekly as one of our pet peeves is going to a site that hasn't been updated.  They won't all be race reports, and surely they won't all be interesting, but they'll be current...this one is a great example.  Race results don't tend to change that much, but when we need to change them, we'll get them updated!

So, thanks for checking in.  And, leave a comment if you want to see if they work...don't know if they do!  I'm sure there will be bugs here and there to sort out.
